An iconic establishment in central Albury, the Globe Hotel has served up many a good time since its opening in 1860, and certainly has embraced an impressive history of alterations, amendments, and various end-uses throughout the years. 

Today, it’s a contemporary establishment that offers various rental tenancies at ground level, complete with modern finishes and styling which are respecting of the hotel’s bygone era.  

In more recent upgrades, Habitat was engaged in 2020 for preliminary advice and preparation of a development application that proposed both internal and external alternations to the ground floor of the Globe Building. The external works included stabilisation and repair of the existing structure whilst maintaining and reinstating the original features of the building as well cosmetic enhancements; whilst the interior works centered on improving the tenancy offering, facilities and accessibility with the removal of dividing walls, construction of internal access ramps and centralising toilet facilities to include a disability compliant toilet area.
