Habitat Planning welcomes Emma Calvar to its Albury office

Habitat Planning is pleased to welcome Emma Calvar to the team, joining our Albury office as a consultant.

Originally from Sydney, Emma brings a strong foundation in statutory planning, having gained professional experience across a diverse range of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects while completing her university studies. Her experience has provided valuable insight into the planning industry, including supporting development applications and the delivery of diverse planning outcomes across New South Wales.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Environments from the University of Sydney and graduated with her Master of Planning from the University of Technology Sydney in June, 2026.

Having recently relocated to the Border, Emma is looking forward to enjoying the outdoors lifestyle which the region offers, including beautiful hikes, camping, and skiing (when the snow comes!) She was drawn to Habitat Planning by the consultancy’s reputation within the industry and the opportunity to further her skills and contribute to a diverse range of projects across regional New South Wales and Victoria, and the ACT.

Habitat Planning Director, David Hunter said Emma’s appointment reflects the business’s continued investment in building a strong, experienced team to support clients throughout the regions.

‘We’re really excited to welcome Emma to Habitat’, Mr Hunter said.

‘Emma brings a genuine enthusiasm to apply her skills and to learn as much as she can, whilst servicing diverse client work. Her thoughtful, theoretical and practical approach which she’s gained from her studies, together with working in private consulting in Sydney will be an asset to our team. We’re pleased to have Emma on board and look forward to supporting her as she develops her career with Habitat.’

Outside of work, Emma enjoys playing guitar, listening to music and exploring Albury Wodonga and the surrounding region.

Please join us in welcoming Emma to Habitat.
