Murrumbidgee Council engaged Habitat to prepare a new Structure Plan for the rural township of Darlington Point. As one of the main settlements in the newly merged Shire, the project sought to identify a 20 year vision for the town and provide a basis for future development projects and improvements to the town.

The project required the team to identify key economic and development drivers and recommend strategies to facilitate future growth including attracting major industries. Being located on major transport routes, the plan also needed to consider managing traffic through the town while also encouraging improvements to streetscape and town entries. The plan also sought to encourage new residential growth and improved recreation and amenity for residents and visitors.
